Alumni Lead Career Advisory Session on Energy Sector Employment in Houston in August

Continuing a series of alumni-led Career Advisory Sessions, Keith Maxwell ’84, John Rathmell ’76 and Stratton Borchers ’07 generously gave of their time to serve as faculty for Pike undergrads at Keith’s Houston office on August 12. Keith has built and operates several independent energy companies, Johnny is in the energy and marine insurance business and Stratton is a commodities trader for a supermajor energy company. The undergrad Pike attendees enjoyed learning about energy industry opportunities, interviewing tips and building their knowledge of the sector.  Thank you to the alums for helping prepare Pikes for successful, rewarding future careers.  Carson Carruthers ’07, a reservoir engineer with a large independent producer, could not attend personally but contributed a message providing his counsel for engineering undergrads. This is the third such Beta Mu alumni-led session for undergrads in 2015.
