Ben Galbraith and Wilson Welch celebrated their initiation as members of Pike’s Centennial pledge class.
Grant Hiskes, Ted Howard and Griffin Boutwell managed Pike’s annual canned food drive to support the Central Texas Food Bank, which provided the equivalent of 250 individual meals.

The Fall ’20 New Member class is an outstanding group of young men. They are already adding greatly to the Beta Mu brotherhood and we look for more great things on The Forty Acres to come from these men in the years ahead!

These fall ’20 initiates hit the beaches of Destin during Spring Break. These men were part of an outstanding Centennial Pledge Class and are the foundation of Pike’s second century at UT Austin.
PC ’20 enjoyed several weeks of new member education on Pike’s history and legacy. Pledge meetings are followed by a mandatory study hall.

Pike Philanthropy Chair Cooper Carlyle is joined by Will Junk and Conner Gartner presenting proceeds from a Pike fundraiser to Austin Fire Department’s Chief. Pike raises more than $20,000 in a typical school year for organizations and charities in the community.
Pike’s fall Parents Weekends are always a great time. We appreciate parents traveling in for dinners and a Longhorn football game. Matthew Ford enjoyed having his parents, both of whom are Texas-Exes, in from Fort Worth. Hook ‘Em!
Jack Wingard enjoys move-in day at the Pike House. Bedroom 316 was sponsored by the Woodward Family, which included two brothers in the 1970s, a younger sister who served as Pike Little Sister and a now deceased cousin.

The Pike house is a partnership site for UT Healthy Horns’ Proactive Community Testing program for weekly Wednesday afternoon no-appointment testing for all UT students. We are doing our part to #ProtectTexasTogether.

Texas Pikes, friends and alums enjoy robust pre-football game tailgates before every home game.
Pike Alums regularly lead Career Advisory Sessions during the winter and summer breaks. Two alumni attorneys hosted an Austin breakfast in February 2020 for Pikes interested in law school.
Pikes participated in the Texas Exes Day of Service for Austin’s St. John’s Neighborhood Baptist Church, painting and doing lawn work. Pike men have a service obligation of 8 hours per semester.
August 15, 2020 was a memorable day, when the Alumni House Corp. officers handed over the new chapter house keys to the undergraduate officers. We enjoy a great working relationship with the Pike alumni leadership and appreciate their efforts to raise the funds and construct Pike’s new home for our second century at UT Austin.
