Thanks to the more than 100 alumni and family members that joined the fun at the alumni tailgate November 23. A great time was had by all. 🤘🏼

The 2024 Beta Mu Legends Awards were presented during the tailgate. In first photo, accepting John Scofield 73’s award for distinguished leadership was Bert Dement ‘66; the Founders Award presented to the late Brent Bousquet ‘84 was accepted by John Ward ‘85; and Dr. Jay Messer ‘08 received the Under 40 Achievement Award. Congratulations to these winners for many accomplishments and thanks for their loyalty to Pike.

Texas Pike alumni congratulate the chapter on recognition received at this past weekend’s international Convention in Oklahoma City. 🤘🏼

Convention occurs every other summer in even years, and Beta Mu sent a full delegation joining with hundreds of other PIKE collegiate members, and hundreds of alumni for the Fraternity’s annual business meeting, legislative sessions and awards recognition. Big thanks to outgoing international president Chris Peterson, Florida, and hat tip to new international president Larry Eby, Southeast Missouri State! 👍🏻

🏆 Chapter received the scholarship plate based on 3.4 average GPA, 100 man chapter award and the phi phi KA Foundation support award. Beta Mu’s alumni association also received the Nester Award alumni board of the year.

Beta Mu’s alumni are proud of the high performing chapter. We are one of only 14 chapters out of 300 charters granted by Pike to have operated continuously for 100 years or more. BM is in her 104th year on the UT campus, thanks to great young men continuing the traditions and brotherhood.

We look forward to another great academic year ahead in Austin!

Beta Mu celebrated 27 seniors graduating in May. 👏🏻

Announcing applications are open for the Brant Bousquet ‘84 Memorial Scholarship. The special scholarship memorializes the late Brant Bousquet ‘84, who died in 2022 while only in his late 50s.

The Texas-Exes-managed Brant Bousquet Memorial Scholarship is the first endowed scholarship for Texas Pikes. The Bousquet family and scores of Brant’s pledge brothers and Pikes of his era have made this scholarship possible. 🤘🏻

Academics, civility, faith, and service to others distinguished Brant. Beta Mu Pikes in good standing with the fraternity and the university demonstrating similar values are encouraged to apply - the scholarship funds are expected to be approximately $3,000 for the next school year. The application process has been abbreviated and applications are due Friday, June 21 at 5 PM.

Applications are being circulated to the chapter members today. Inquire with @sedlacek.jacob for more details.

Alumni wishing to donate to the scholarship can contact Van Beckwith ‘84, John Ward ‘85 or Texas Exes.
